Entigral and Zebra Technologies Announce Strategic Partnership

December 10, 2013/in News Releases /by Entigral Systems

December 10, 2013 ‒ Raleigh, NC ‒ Entigral Systems, Inc., a leader in sensor-based automation for inventory and asset tracking and Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) a global leader in products and solutions that provide real-time visibility into organizations’ assets, people and transactions, are pleased to announce a partnership that will support Zebra’s Zatar platform. Zatar is Zebra’s new cloud-based platform for enterprise sensor data collection and management. As an independent software vendor (ISV) partner on Zatar, Entigral’s TraxWare software manages mission-critical enterprise workflows in key industrial segments, using next-generation sensors including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Zatar provides centralized collection, control, and management of thousands to millions of devices in a secure, accessible and extensible manner.

“The combination of Entigral’s TraxWare enterprise software platform with the flexibility of the Zatar cloud platform is a winner for organizations looking to create exceptional ROI with new sensor technologies,” said Booth Kalmbach, Entigral CEO. “Businesses are entering a new frontier where the ‘sensor cloud’ – the multitude of powerful yet tiny devices interconnected by the Internet of Things – creates innovative and exciting ways to manage operations.”

This combination of Entigral software and Zatar cloud platform is a revolutionary step towards making the Internet of Things (IoT) a reality. Zatar allows customers to access, store and manage information not only across single facilities, but across multiple locations worldwide. For example, a manufacturing customer using RFID sensor technology to track assets in one facility in the United States is now able to place that information in the cloud, so that it can be aggregated and used with similar information from other facilities in Europe or elsewhere around the world to make smarter business decisions. Zatar and Entigral provide the tools for process integration and data sharing between facilities, suppliers and customers.

“Zatar is a simple and powerful IoT solution that is easy for organizations of virtually any size to implement and operate, even as more devices and collaborators are added to the platform,” said Phil Gerskovich, senior vice president of New Growth Platforms for Zebra Technologies. “We are excited to partner with Entigral in making it easy for businesses to take advantage of IoT opportunities with a solution that is scalable and addresses critical workflow requirements.”

Entigral’s TraxWare software is a sophisticated platform solution for interacting with next-generation sensors on the network edge to collect, analyze, and take action with sensor data, and to provide data to customers to make more informed business decisions. Entigral’s customers use RFID sensors to address asset tracking, inventory tracking and other mission critical, complex workflows where vital asset information must be collected and acted upon.

Zatar is the world’s first user-centered IoT platform. Unlike other IoT platforms, customers can use and control their devices on Zatar. Also, it is easy to connect to Zatar from anywhere – without any programming or code writing. Unveiled in October at Cisco’s Internet of Things World Forum in Barcelona, Zatar is a highly flexible, browser-based solution designed to connect as many devices as necessary. It allows customers to bring legacy devices such as printers into the IoT world and allows for easy integration of sensor-based devices into the cloud.

Together, the combined solution enables customers to manage critical workflows on the edge of the network and integrate processes in a cloud architecture. Currently TraxWare is installed in numerous manufacturing facilities nationwide for managing and monitoring assets, inventory, and work-in-process using RFID sensors. With the integration of TraxWare into Zatar, Entigral and Zebra make available a solution for customers who want to extend their process control and visibility across multiple locations through the cloud.

To learn more about how you and your customers can harness the value of connected devices through TraxWare and Zatar visit www.zatar.com or contact Entigral at www.entigral.com.

Entigral Announces TraxWare® Version 5.0 Beta

January 8, 2013/in News Releases /by Allen Bennett

January 8, 2013 – Raleigh, NC – Entigral Systems announces availability of the beta release of TraxWare Version 5.0, the latest version of its sensor automation platform. TraxWare Version 5.0 builds on existing TraxWare mobility features by offering customization via HTML5 and JavaScript. HTML5 and JavaScript, now the mobility standard for building applications, make TraxWare the most easily customized RFID automation platform for Manufacturing Execution.

According to Booth Kalmbach, President and CEO, “The addition of customization features like HTML5 and JavaScript to the TraxWare platform makes TraxWare the industry’s leading software platform for the creation and deployment of RFID-based applications in manufacturing.” Mr. Kalmbach continued, “Customization is important because every manufacturer has its own business process. Off the shelf, TraxWare does 95% of the job, but the remaining 5% is critical and HTML5 / JavaScript makes it easier.”

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently stated that in 2013 Apple will move manufacturing from China to the U.S. This trend, known as reshoring, brings more manufacturing closer to home, and induces manufacturers to make technology investments to keep track of where inventory is in their manufacturing processes. Mr. Kalmbach noted, “RFID is an ideal technology to meet modern manufacturing objectives. You need an integrated solution that allows a more organized flow of raw material, work-in-process and finished goods through your facility, and using TraxWare with RFID achieves that objective.”

About Entigral Systems

Founded in 2003, Entigral is an enterprise software vendor of asset tracking systems for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). TraxWare®, Entigral’s flagship product, is an industry-leading sensor automation platform.
