Position: Software Application Developer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Relocation Reimbursement: Not Available

Job Summary: This opening is for a Software Application Developer who will be responsible for the development, programming, and documentation of enterprise application software, as well as modifying and maintaining existing software. This position will require the developer to be willing to learn new technologies and apply sound application design principles. We are looking for someone who is intelligent and passionate about creating quality software and looking to be a key contributor on an established team. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow as a software application developer in the new and exciting field of sensor-based data collection. Some travel may be required.

Requirements:

• Minimum two years work experience as a programmer, Web developer, technical writer, or other related field.
• Minimum two year degree in Computer Programming, Web Development, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of and experience in XML/HTML, and functional knowledge of procedural languages like Visual Basic or Javascript.

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in C# and SQL is preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile data collection terminals, bar codes, RFID or other sensor-based technologies is helpful.
• Demonstrated programming logic and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Ability to interface well with other staff members as well as end-users.
• Ability to work independently as directed.
