About Us

Entigral Systems was founded in 1984 as System Concepts, Inc., which for its first twenty years was a full-service solution provider of Automatic Data Collection solutions. Through the 1980s and mid-1990s we became a leader in providing solutions, services and support utilizing data collection technologies.

In the late 1990s we began to install RFID applications into industrial customer accounts. These installations presented a substantial learning curve. The problems we encountered included:

  • Interfacing to enterprise systems and databases
  • Understanding when and how to apply different RFID frequencies
  • Encapsulating and mounting tags
  • Controlling the manufacturing devices found in industrial applications
  • Filtering voluminous data generated by RFID systems
  • Minimizing radio frequency interference
  • Applying the different tag format standards
  • Commissioning tags and printing RFID labels
  • Handling serialized data, as opposed to itemized data
  • Diagnosing reader and tag anomalies
  • Connecting to the various interfaces of different readers

A significant portion of the cost of each project was consumed by custom software development to solve these problems. In 2003 the company committed to developing the TraxWare® software platform as a compendium of the company's RFID experiences.

The TraxWare platform proved itself as it was installed in numerous customer accounts to track assets in a variety of applications, most of which used RFID. In 2008 System Concepts, Inc. began doing business as Entigral Systems as the company began to focus exclusively on selling its TraxWare platform into vertical application markets.

Entigral Systems is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, adjacent to the Research Triangle Park.

The company has been internally financed to date and is profitable.
